Here are Four Fascinating Facts About Our History and Heritage

The church was originally known as Ward Chapel when it opened in 1833. It was designed by James Brewster of Montrose and cost £2,810 to build, which was a significant amount at the time.

The church is built in a Gothic style, featuring a large pointed window on its eastern wall, flanked by intricately carved buttresses. The east window has beautiful quatrefoil and rosette tracery.

The church had a Welcome Hall created in 2003, which is a bright space with lots of natural light. It serves as a community hub where people can gather and socialise.

The church houses an organ made by John R. Miller of Dundee in 1929, which is located above the pulpit on a wooden balcony. This organ is a key feature of the church’s musical heritage. Read more about our Organ Preservation.
