So, I’ve recently been on holiday, back to a place in Banchory which was really nice. I remembered if before because this was the place that my dad got into real trouble for not looking after me. He was supposed to be watching me in the garden, and I managed to get on top of the garden wall. So, you can imagine how that went. People often say to me that I look like a sheep because I am so woolly, but it was him that was looking sheepish that day I can tell you!
Anyway, we were expecting visitors at the house, everyone was up early and the nice biscuits were out!! I wasn’t sure who was coming…… so I was surprised when this couple turned up with a dog and thought, great, there might be treats on the go here!! But the other dog…….she looked kinda familair, but I needed to get a good sniff of the three of them to see if I knew them.
Found out that this dog was called Clemmie because she was getting told to stop jumping (always better when someone else is getting told off rather than me). She smelt familiar……I had another sniff…. then thought….it couldn’t be, could it?
It was, it was my sister!!! I hadn’t seen her for a few years, but I remembered the smell. So, who were the humans then? They smelt familiar too……. Then I remembered that they were the people I was with when I was born!! I remembered them. I couldn’t wait to sit beside them and get my ears scratched (a favourite place to be scratched…..just so you know for the next time you see me)
I remember they were so nice to me and looked after me, and my brothers and sisters before I came to live with my mum and dad. It was so nice to see them and brought back so many memories. Nice seeing my sister too, but she was a bit too energetic for me.
The moral of this tail is……….. To be able to spend time with the people that matter most is precious. You never know when you will see them again. So, make the most of the times you have together and look forward to the next ones. Don’t let chances pass you by.
